Actions: strengthens spleen, nourishes stomach,

strengthens lungs, relieves irritability,           astringes intestines.

 

Conditions: indigestion, diarrhea, vomiting,

nausea, "summer heat" irritability.

 

Nutrition:

Brown rice has only its outermost layer, the hull, removed. Unlike white rice, this process leaves most of its nutrients intact. Brown rice is an excellent source of the mineral maganese. It is also a good source of magnesium and selenium. The fiber content is also impressive.
