Guanyuanshu (English translation: Origin Gate Shu) Location: On the back, 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the 5th lumbar vertebra. Indications:
Functions: Strengthens the low back, removes obstructions from the meridian.
Needling: Perpendicular insertion .8 - 1.2 cun.
