Stomach 33
Chinese Name: Yinshi (English translation: Yin Market)

Location:  On the anterior aspect of the thigh, on the line connecting the anterior superior iliac spine and the lower lateral border of the patella, 3 cun above the patella.

Indications:

  • Coldness and pain of the lower extremities and knee, limitation of the lower extremities. (Bi-Syndrome and Wei Syndromes)
  • Hernia, abdominal distention and pain

Functions: Frees obstructions in the meridian, dispels Wind-Damp, alleviates pain.

Needling: Perpendicular insertion 1.0 - 1.5 cun.
