Quepen (English translation: Empty Basin)Location: In the midpoint of the supraclavicular fossa, 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline. Indications:
Functions: Descends Lung Qi, activates the meridian. Needling: Perpendicular
or oblique insertion .3 - .5 cun. |
Supplement to the Classic Fig. of Acupuncture and Moxibustion says:
"Needling is contraindicated in pregnancy." Under the points from ST
11 to ST 18, there are important organs and a main artery. |
