Location:
On the lateral aspect of the chest, in the 5th
intercostal space, 6 cun from the anterior midline of the body.
Indications:
- Distention and pain in the chest and
hypochondrium, nausea caused from gastric disorders, vomiting after eating
- Distention and edema in the abdomen,
jaundice
- Fecal incontinence of elderly people
Functions:
Dissolves accumulation of food, moves Qi.
Needling:
Oblique or subcutaneous insertion toward the lateral direction .5 - .8 cun.
Do not puncture
