Location:
On the back and lower back, 0.5 cun lateral to
the lower border of each spinous process process from the 1st thoracic vertebra
to the 5th lumbar vertebra. One side has 17 points, both sides of the spinal
column have a total of 34 points.
Indications:
- The points on the upper portion of the
thorax are used to treat diseases of the throat, heart, lung and upper
extremities
- The points on the lower portion of the
thorax are used to treat diseases of the liver, gall-bladder, spleen and
stomach
- The points on the lumbar region are used to
treat diseases of the urogenital system, the intestinal tract, the
lumbosacral region and lower extremities
Functions:
Regulates the five Zang and six Fu.
Needling: Perpendicular insertion .3 - .5
cun, or use plum blossom needle for tapping.
